Best Stock Trading Course
If you want to get started in trading many professional
traders will recommend that you start off by learning how to
trade stocks with a stock trading course, and I'll
explain exactly why below. So even if for some reason you are
hell bent on becoming an options trader, a futures trader or a
Forex trader do yourself a big favor by cutting your trading
teeth on stocks 1st, you will be very glad that you did.
The simple fact is that the simplest financial instrument to
trade are stocks, this is because of the following reasons:
1 - There is no leverage, i.e. if the stock goes up by $1 you
will make one $1, and the same on the downside, whereas with
Forex, options and futures you can certainly lose or make many
times what the actual dollar movement is. For many inexperienced
traders this is seen as an advantage as it appears that you can
make more money faster, that is true, but of course you can also
lose more money faster, and if you are new to trading that is
what is more likely to happen.
2 - Buying or selling stocks is an easy to understand
process, there is no leverage issues, time decay and little risk
of losing more than you have invested
3 - Stocks don't have expiration dates
4 - If you choose the rights stocks to trade they can have
very high volume making them very liquid with small spreads,
making buying and selling when you want a fast transaction
Because buying and selling stocks using daily charts (and not
day trading) is a fairly slow process you should have more time
to learn that the real secret to being a good trader is money
management and trade management. If you don't master these two
skills while learning how to master trading stocks and try and
skip ahead to options, Forex or futures, the chances are that
you will eventually empty your account.
It has often been said by many professional traders that if
you can't make money trading stocks then you have no business
trading anything else. This is great advice, the BIG problem is
that you will not often, if ever, be told this by the trading
seminar companies - why? - because they want to sell you more
seminars ASAP on options, Forex and futures!, be aware.
